We offer inspection, testing and preventive maintenance techniques including:
- Non Destructive Testing (NDT) – NDT methods such as Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, Schmidt Hammer Testing, Laser Surveys, and Hot Camera Inspections are used to provides a baseline measurement along with subsequent periodic results of structural characteristics such as the material’s surface hardness, density, and thickness. These details can support sound choices for future repair or replacement expenditures. Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) testing is an extremely popular NDT method that uses UT meters to test for thinning of material from corrosion or erosion, to determine any unusual or excessive areas of wear that could compromise structural integrity and safety.
- Infrared Thermography – This method can be used to spot leakages of heat through welds, couplings, valves, junctions or connection within structures, piping, ductwork, breaching or stack construction. If a variation in temperature is present, we can perform repairs or maintenance that will help prevent or eliminate breakdowns & plant outages.
- Petrographic Testing – This method uses physical material samples or borings from the structure to determine strength & integrity. The samples are sent for laboratory testing once taken from the structure.
- FRP Sampling – Samples are taken from existing FRP structures and tested by a qualified laboratory to determine their condition. This lets us determine or predict the remaining service life of the structure and helps us to recommend any repairs or necessary maintenance. Sampling sites are repaired once samples are taken.
